Councillors get some capital budget figures to crunch

It's still very preliminary, but King councillors last week were given some proposed capital budget numbers for the coming year. The latest figures, provided by municipal staff, call for about $17.04 million in capital spending. But the plan is to fund approximately $1.48 million of that through taxes. The rest would come from reserves, grants and other sources.

Young people can be excused if they sometimes feel put-upon by the rest of society, being forced to answer for the sins of some of their more irresponsible fellows.
