Fairies, giants and superheros coming to museum in August

What do giants, dragons and early archaeologists all have in common?

Is the Joker a comic book version of the trickster Coyote?

From the small world of fairies to the very large world of inter-stellar travel, if you believe in heroes and Hercules, this camp is for you.

Fairies, giants and superheros will be prominent at this intermediate level camp planned for King Township Museum from Aug. 9 to 13.

Campers will get a broad overview of mythology and folklore, using crafts and activities.

This is a full-day camp, running from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and activities will take place indoors and out. Pack a lunch, sunscreen, hat and water.

Traditional storyteller and artist Phyllis Broom Walker will be a special guest.

This heritage-based camp is for youngsters aged seven to nine. The cost will be $138 per person for the week.
