Have breakfast with Santa at Nobleton United

Nobleton United Church

Please join us Dec. 5, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. for Breakfast with Santa.

Delicious pancakes and sausages will be served. Santa will be there to listen to each child’s secret wish for Christmas and they will receive a special gift. Children 10 and younger will get in free, and the cost will be $5 for everyone else. No reservations are required.

The church is at 6075 King Rd. West, on the north side. See you there.

St. Paul’s Christmas

Musical Dec. 6

Want to “get in” and “find' the Christmas spirit? Then, mark your calendars for It’s a Wonder-Full Life, our Christmas Musical which will take place Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. Come enjoy this very clear message; there is no Christmas without Jesus!

Our annual Book Fair will take place next Saturday (Nov. 28) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Enjoy shopping “with a spiritual purpose” this Christmas season at St. Paul’s. Gifts, books, cards, DVDs, CDs and much, much more will be available for you to chose from. Come in from the cold and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea (and goodies), as you meet in fellowship and get some Christmas shopping done.

Join us this Sunday (Nov. 22), as we continue our Go Fish series with the message - “So you’re dead . . . now what?” Child care (for children five years of age and younger) is provided during the gathering and our KidzKonnection program takes place at the same time.

committee to meet

There will be a meeting of the Church Building Committee at the Nobleton Lion’s Hall on Old King Road Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. to discuss the update of the progress of the construction of the church and new fundraising ideas.

St. Mary’s Catholic

Women’s League

The St. Mary’s CWL will start their panettone sales after Mass this Sunday (Nov. 22) at the school gym.

All proceeds from these sales are going directly to the church building fund. The prices of the panettone are cranberry — $11; chocolate — $10; Pandoro boxed — $7; Pandoro bag —$5; and mixed fruit bag — $5. We are also taking large orders.

Nobleton seniors’ activities

The winners of the Tuesday evening euchre were Herb Workam, Helen Bible, Annie Hill, Mary Bullock and John Burbridge. The lucky draw winners were Annie Hill, Cathy Kiekebelt and Bill Groombridge. Nov. 24 is our pot luck supper at 6 p.m. followed by euchre. Come and spend a fun evening with us.
