SOUP-A-LICIOUS BROUGHT CROWDS TO ANSNORVELDT


The crowd was large in Ansnorveldt over the weekend, and so was the assortment of soups available at Soupa licious. The event was arranged to help promote the quality of food produced on the Holland Marsh. On hand for the grand opening Saturday was Susan Antler, executive director of the Compost Council of Canada; Bradford — West Gwillimbury Mayor Doug White and his daughters Jamie, 7, and Jaclyn, 4; King Councillor Bill Cober; York — Simcoe MP Peter Van Loan and his daughter Caroline; King Councillor Jack Rupke; Deputy Minister Drew Fagan of the Ministry of Tourism; Bradford — West Gwillimbury Councillor John McCallum; York — Simcoe MPP Julia Munro; East Gwillimbury Councillor Virginia Hackson, chair of the Lake Simcoe and region Conservation Authority; and Mayor Margaret Black.
