Fair Ambassador contestants sought

The Schomberg Fair is just around the corner (May 22 to 25) and once again organizers are looking for contestants for the Ambassador contest.

The competition is open to young people over the age of 17. Contestants spend a fun filled Saturday and Sunday at the fair, participating in the parade, events, and activities, in addition to enjoying the rides and seeing the fair in a whole new way. The competition takes place Sunday.

Contestants do not need to live on a farm, but should be eager to learn about the community and its fair. They should also be enthusiastic about representing the Schomberg Agricultural Society at other fairs and functions throughout the area.

The Fair Ambassador will have the opportunity to attend the annual Ontario Agricultural Society Convention in February, and will compete in the Ambassador of the Fairs competition at the Canadian National Exhibition a year from now.
