Happy Times Euchre Club results

The top player among the ladies at the April 30 meeting of the Happy Times Euchre Club was Arlene Bowen, followed by Greta Graham, Dorothy Rodgers and Elaine Ruddy. The lucky draw was won by Irene Palmer.

Leading things at the men's tables was Jake Steenhoek, followed by Murray Kaake, Ken Hodgson and Anne Sweeney, with Arnold Rodgers winning the lucky draw.

The 50/50 draw winners were Irene Palmer and Ken Hodgson.

As we see, Jake took first place in the men's category again, but he was wide awake this time; so much so that in the game he partnered with Greta Graham, they won with 21 points! Great going because Jake had three lone hands back to back in that game and they went from there for the win. Ken Hodgson keeps walking away with more loot than he can count - is he ever lucky in cards and draws.

Our season is coming to a close and May 7 will be our Wind-Up Dinner and last play of cards until October. We sure hope to see others out for that last day.
