Super turnout for WALK event

I would like to thank all those who volunteered their time Saturday morning and made the litter pick-up effort at the Highway 9 car park such a success.

I, as many, was discouraged by the sheer volume of litter. I was encouraged by the turnout, notably several of our council members, students, families and of course, the "regulars."

Several people asked if were going to pick up at the King Road and Highway 400 car park. I have decided to do that area Township Cleanup Day May 3. Any people who wish to help in that area would be appreciated. Meet at the car park at 10 a.m. Bags and drinks will be provided. Contact me at (905) 727-8551 if you have questions.
