Annual plant and bake sale and clean-up coming to Laskay Hall

You won't want to miss this year's Laskay Hall's plant and bake sale (with an eco-twist).

This year the sale will coincide with the Weston Road clean-up, May 10.

The plant sale will run from 9 a.m. until noon, and will include a wide variety of field-grown perennials at very reasonable prices. This year will feature drought-tolerant native plants and mixed annual planters (perfect for Mother's Day gifts) in recycled containers. Hot drinks (free if you lug-a-mug) and home-made treats will refresh you as you ponder your selections.

The clean-up starts at 10 a.m. along Weston Road, between King Road and King-Vaughan Townline. Bags, vests, pylons and plastic gloves will be provided at Laskay Hall. Wear bright clothing, sturdy gloves and appropriate footwear. A free barbecue lunch will be provided at noon for volunteers. Come and meet your neighbours.

Call (905) 833-0222 if you are going to participate so sufficient food can be available.

To further enhance the eco-experience, there will be nature-inspired art by three Laskay artists on display.
