Tour the studios of some of King's finest creative artists

It should surprise no one that King Township is home to some supremely talented artists.

This weekend (Saturday and Sunday) will offer people the chance to see the creations of many of these people, as well as meet the artists themselves, in many cases in their own studios.

Arts Society King (ASK) are hosting their annual Studio Tour King this weekend, running from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

The tour will involve more than 25 artists and artisans, including those who specialize in oils, water colours, sculpting, ceramics, photography, carving, etc. It will also cover all corners of the township, from Nobleton and King City, north into the Holland Marsh.

This will be a great opportunity to explore some of the spectacular areas of King, just as life is springing back after a long and harsh winter.

The tour is free of charge, as ASK invites all to "enjoy the spring awakening of budding leaves and spring flowers as you visit the studios of well known King Artists whose work include: sculpture, painting, watercolour, photography, ceramics and other media."

Tour maps are available at the King Township Museum, any branch of the King Township Public Library and on-line at www.artssocietyking.ca
