Learn about brewing history Brewing has a long and popular history in southern Ontario. Since 2002, King Brewery in Nobleton has been producing award-winning, ultra-premium European-style beers. Next Sunday (April 13) at 1 p.m., owner and brewmaster Philip DiFonzo and the King Township Historical Society are hosting a free public tour and tasting at the King Brewery, 5645 King Rd., east of Highway 27. A certified beer judge with more than 15 years experience, DiFonzo is an expert on classic brewing techniques using the finest imported ingredients and strict Bavarian purity standards. DiFonzo's specialties, a Czechstyle pilsner and a dark lager, have won three gold medals at the Canadian Brewing Awards. Celebrate King Township's own beer at the Brewery (not the museum).
