Fight to keep generator out of King

It's Completely unacceptable!

Everyone should agree with that regarding the proposed building of a huge, gas-fired, peak-use power station near the Holland Marsh in North King. This is not the place for such a monstrosity.

Ontario Hydro has proposed the building of this plant right beside some of the most productive farmland in Ontario. An eye sore with 75 to 125 meter tall smokestacks which can be seen for many kilometers, deadly pollution, noise and degradation of the area, not to mention a lessening of our property values. What is Ontario Hydro thinking, even considering building a big inefficient unit like this on the Oak Ridges Moraine?

Make your voice heard - Say no! Contact Energy Minister Gerry Phillips. Tell him in no uncertain terms, "We will not have this plant here!"

Go on the Internet for Minister of Energy and follow the instructions.
