Springing forward with a newly established Chamber of Commerce The King Chamber of Commerce Executive and Board of Directors are pleased to extend an invitation to the business community to their first Network Breakfast Meeting April 4, being held at Cardinal Golf Club on Highway 9. Registration will begin at 7 a.m with an opportunity to network and enjoy the buffet breakfast. The guest speaker will be Scott McCammon, vicepresident of communications and stakeholder relations with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. The King Chamber of Commerce (KCC) was formed Jan. 15, with the merger of the Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce and the King Township Chamber of Commerce. KCC is a not-for-profit association aimed at providing an active voice for businesses in King Township. The partnering among the 300 members (and growing) will ensure continued expansion and prosperity of the business community in King Township. The Chamber's mission is to promote a healthy, sustainable and environmentally responsible business climate in King, while providing a forum for open discussion on all matters of public interest to the members. Looking to the future, the Chamber will also focus on political issues and their impact on membership. The Chamber is being headed by President Karl Davis, Vice-President Ron Ivany, Treasurer Mike Coulter, Secretary Audrey D'Souza-Moraes and Executive Directors Amanda Batchelor, Jane Cameron, Tom Dobson, Gerry Duffy, Patty Fleetwood, Henry Verbruggen and Gary Vogan. |
