Atom local league Red Wings one up on Lefroy

The Schomberg local league atom 1 Red Wings are off to a fine start n their Simcoe Region Minor Hockey League finals.

The local heroes won the opening match of the sevengame series against their Lefroy foes 3-1 over the weekend.

Kyle Jacobs, Conner Linale and Nick Berger collected the goals, and Tyler Rightmyer notched an assist.

The series resumed last night in Lefroy (result not known at press time) and returns to Schomberg for a match Thursday at 6 p.m. The fourth game is slated for Friday in Schomberg at 8 p.m., and subsequent games, if necessary, will be Saturday at noon in Lefroy, Monday at 6 p.m. in Schomberg and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Lefroy.
