Horticultural society to meet Tuesday Submitted by Shirley Stonehouse The winner among the ladies at the March 12 meeting of the Happy Times Euchre Club was Dorothy Rodgers, followed by Peggy Johnston, Mildred Jessop and Elaine Ruddy. The lucky draw was won by Anne Sweeny. Tops at the men's tables was Bill Groombridge, followed by Arnold Rodgers, Bob Bishop and Blanche Crane. Phyllis Gallatly was the lucky draw winner. The 50/50 draw winners were Gloria Clarkson and Bob Bishop, and Betty Ann Wilson was the player who needs a bit of tender loving coaching. Horticultural society The Schomberg Horticultural Society invites you to its first 2008 meeting this coming Tuesday (March 25). It will start at 7:45 p.m. at Schomberg Community Hall. The guest speaker, Paul Olsen, will show how to start your seeds indoors. Membership is just $15 or $20 a family, for informative speakers, flower shows and don't forget your mug. We serve light refreshments, and you can talk to our guests and ask questions. |
