Easter Egg Hunt set for March 22

The 11th annual Community Easter Egg Hunt will take place again this year at Pottageville Park.

It's being put on by the Lions Clubs of King City and Nobleton.

King City Lion Greg Furtney said the hunt will be March 22. It will start at 10 a.m. sharp, "and I do mean sharp."

The plan is to have some 20,000 plastic Easter Eggs strewn about the park. The hunt usually attracts a couple of hundred kids, and they will have all the eggs picked up in a matter of minutes.

Furtney also said egg hunters are asked to bring their own baskets or bags, because the Lions aren't able to supply them.

There will also be a separate area set aside for toddlers to gather eggs without having to compete with the bigger kids.

All participants will receive a chocolate gift pack, and Furtney said nut-free goodies will be available too.
