Ride a bus on the farm tour Annual farm tour Want to take the Schomberg Agricultural Society's fourth annual farm tour without having to drive? The Society has hired a bus, with 22 seats. It will leave from Kitchen - Breedon Manor at 10 a.m. the day of the tour (March 8), then stop at Brownsville Junction for another pick-up, before heading to two of the sheep and goat operations on the tour. It will go back to the fairgrounds, where a light lunch will be available, then go on to the third farm, returning at approximately 3 p.m. If you are interested in riding the bus on the tour, contact Andy MacPherson at (905) 727-5897 by March 2. If you would rather drive yourself, the cost of a map/ticket will be $10 per car, and it will give you the directions to each of the sheep and goat farms in the area to be visited. Tickets may be purchased one week in advance of the tour at the following locations: Rona Cashway Schomberg, Schomberg Farm and Garden Supplies on Main Street in Schomberg, Richvale Saddlery at the Brownsville Junction Plaza, Nobleton Feed Mill on Old King Road in Nobleton, Tottenham Feed Service on Mill Street in Tottenham, Home Hardware in the Tottenham Mall and Maple Farm Supply in Bolton. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour at the Clubhouse on the Schomberg Fairgrounds on Main Street. Light lunches will be available at the clubhouse. Star Gazing at the Dufferin Marsh Check out the night sky over the Dufferin Marsh this Saturday (March 1) from 7 to 9 p.m. Telescopes will be set up by the learning shelter off Dr. Kay Drive and experts will be there to answer questions.
