WI lunch and euchre coming

Join us this Sunday (Feb. 24) at 11 a.m. as Rev. Dr. Jeff Loach returns to complete his three-part series.

Nursery care (for children five years and younger) is provided during the service and Sunday school for all ages follows at 11 a.m.

The adult Sunday school class is using the Alpha program and they gather for lunch after the video presentation. The Youth Group meets this evening (Feb. 20) at 7 p.m. and the Prayer Group meets at 7:30.

The Thursday morning men's and women's studies continue tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.

The Food Bank and Children's Clothing Circle will be open this Saturday (Feb. 23) from 9 to 11 a.m.

The men's Saturday morning study begins at 8:30 a.m.

The Tuesday morning Prayer study continues at 9:30 a.m. and the ladies will be quilting that day, also at 9:30 a.m.

WI hosting luncheon

The Nobleton Women's Institute (WI) will meet tomorrow (Thursday) at Nobleton Community Hall, 19 Old King Rd. at 8:30 pm. Robin Pereira and Darlene Jones are the conveners for the meeting, which will be on the topic of business and industry. The Roll Call will be "What is the best chocolate you have ever eaten?" The Motto will be "Girls just want to have fun."

We must not forget the luncheon and euchre Feb. 28 at the Vandorf Community Centre at noon, at 14663 Woodbine Ave., in Vandorf. It is to be sponsored by York Centre District Women's Institutes, of which Nobleton is a branch. There will be lunch, door prizes, draw prizes and euchre prizes. For tickets or information, call Mary Anne at (905) 859-0709. Hope to see all you euchre players there. This is a fund-raiser for all the many projects WI participates in during the year.

St. Mary CWL

Feb. 24, there will be an installation of the new executive members of the Catholic Women's League. Everyone on the executive should plan to attend this Mass. For further information, contact the president, Lena Mascarin, at (905) 859-1313.
