WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN LIONS POSTER CONTEST
The Schomberg Lions Club has announces the winners of this year's Peace Poster contest. The theme this year was "Peace around the World." The winners, seen here with Lions John Bradbury and Marlene Koppens, are Kirby Medland (second place), Lion's District A12 coordinator Anne Evans, Emily Colton (third place), Lion Gail Feeney and Lasha Dodds (first place). All the students are from the Grade 6 class at Schomberg Public School and the Lions thank teacher Heather Hawke for her continued support and inspiration. The students, parents and Hawke were guests at the club's dinner meeting Jan. 21. The winning entry has been sent on to the Lion's District level to compete with other entries to determine which one is to be entered at the International level.
