Hope to 'spare' no 'strikes'
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of York kicked off this year's Bowl for Kids Sake campaign at the York Regional offices last Thursday. The goal for this year's fund-raising event is $250,000, which will be achieved through sponsorship, donations and pledges brought in by bowlers. Maddy Nichol, manager of fund development for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of York; Dean Smalley, vice-president of A&B Courier; York Regional Police Chief Armand La Barge; and Executive Director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of York, Moragh Wolfe, were on hand when the campaign kicked off. Chief La Barge and Regional Chairman Bill Fisch get set to bowl, as they show their support for the Bowl for Kids Sake campaign.
