Cougars lost a close one, then 'ran out of legs' in Penetang

      The Schomberg Cougars will play their last game of the regular season tomorrow (Thursday) night, and they are hoping a fuller bench will help change their recent fortunes. The local side put up a strong effort to mount a comeback Thursday night at home against the Fergus Devils.

      If the King Wild had it their way, the three-game weekend would have gone slightly smoother in the win category. But, their effort was absolute and to the point, especially during Saturday's victorious 9-5 onslaught at home at the expense of the South Muskoka Shield.

Midgets take the title Red and White tourney
      The Schomberg midget rep Red Wings needed overtime, but they ended up winning in the Red and White tournament, which the local association hosted recently. It all came down to a thrilling final match Sunday evening with the Port Credit Storm.
