Come and join the early risers Sundays at 8 a.m. in the Chapel, or meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. This Sunday (Jan. 27) the theme is Christian unity, and the worship at 10:30 a.m. will be led by our own worship band.

Holy Communion is open to all who are baptized, and others may choose to come forward for a prayer of blessing. Participate in a friendly coffee hour afterward. Sunday school and nursery are provided at 10:30 a.m.

Tonight (Jan. 23) the local branch of KAIROS is meeting at All Saints' at 7:30 p.m. This ecumenical movement is committed to social justice and action at both local and international levels, and all are welcome. Google KAIROS for more information.

The following Tuesday evenings in Lent, special events are planned. Feb. 12 at 7 p.m., Rev. Jerry Loweth will lead a discussion on Irenaeus (2nd C. apostolic father); Gnosticism (a current theme relevant to The Da Vinci Code); and 7th C. Celtic Christianity with St. Aidan of Iona.

We encourage you to visit us at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in King City.

Our pastor, Chris Carter stated that 2008 is going to be great and we certainly are experiencing some of that excitement already. We are seeing evidence of God's love through physical, emotional and spiritual healing and growth.

This past Sunday, Erik's little sister Anna Grace deRoos was baptized with the choir singing the Aaronic Blessing, along with her baby cousin joining in at times. Now if only he could read music.

What about you? We are always pleased to have new members join our adult choir. We practise after church Sundays for an hour.

Our worship service is at 10:30 a.m. Allyson MacLeod will be our guest preacher this Sunday (Jan. 27) while Rev. Chris Carter is on study leave.

The Auxiliary and Missions group will be meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. with a view to 2008 and beyond

The Prayer and Praise Group will be Wednesday in the Pastor's Study at 7:30 p.m. Why don't you join us? Do you have a concern, request or a note of thanksgiving? All are welcome.

Busy Moms had a great time at the deRoos' home.

Please call the church at (905) 833-2325 regarding any future church events, should you need a ride or should you have a concern or prayer request.

King City United Church

The blood donor clinic will be this coming Monday (Jan. 28) from 4 until 8 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Please come and share your gift of life.
