MERGER OF CHAMBERS IS OFFICIAL
Representatives of the Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce and the King Township Chamber of Commerce sat down at The Kingbridge Centre yesterday (Tuesday) and officially signed the documents to merge the two bodies into the King Chamber of Commerce. Mike Coulter, treasurer of the Nobleton Schomberg Chamber signed with its president Barb Davis, while King Township Chamber President Maureen Richardson and Treasurer Don McKnight signed for their body. Richardson said talks between the two Chambers had been going on a little more than a year. "It was a year very well worth working toward," she declared.. The board for the new chamber has been appointed, but Coulter said there are still a few legal matters to be sorted out before an executive is named.
