Robbie Burns Day at the King Township Museum
Tastes of Scotland

"Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!"

The world over, people sing this song to ring in the New Year and celebrate the passing of the old.

But have you ever wondered about the life and times of the man who wrote these beautiful lyrics? Join the King Township Museum in exploring the rich tapestry that is Scottish culture and celebrating the life of Robbie Burns Jan. 26, from 2 until 4 p.m.

Tastes of Scotland will be a smorgasbord of traditional Scottish fare and music. Eat haggis with men in kilts.

The Emigrant's Kist, the temporary exhibit from Scotland illustrating the Scottish experience in pioneer Canada, will be on display until the end of January, and this event will be the last time the Kist will be displayed here in King.

The museum is at 2920 King Rd. in King City.
