Coach's Corner

From the front office: Schomberg have set a date of Dec. 1 to decide which of their three goaltenders (Ryan Wadden, Mike Platten and Michael Platten) will be cut from the team for the season. Each of the goalies will have the opportunity to show what they've got, as they will each see action this coming week.

Special teams in the GMOHL: The Cougars have the third best powerplay in the GMOHL, scoring 15 per cent of the time (31 from 207 opportunities).

"Powerplay isn't bad, but we need to work on it against teams like Alliston, who have a better system," said Ulcar.

The Hornets are leading the GMOHL with 39 powerplay goals (in 148 opportunities) for 26 per cent. They are second on the penalty kill in the league with 92.5 per cent, only allowing 11 goals. Schomberg are fifth in PK, defending off 84.09 per cent, allowing 28 goals (from 176 times) to the opposition on the season.
