Join us Dec. 2 as we enjoy our special Christmas meeting.

This year we are featuring The Venables, who are a Salvation Army family. They will be blessing us musically, both by song and instruments, and by speaking to us from God's Word about the true meaning of Christmas.

We will meet at 1 p.m. for refreshments and our program will start at 1:30.

Please plan on joining us. All are welcome.

Christmas in the Country took place Saturday afternoon, on a beautiful wintry day with snow and sunshine. Thanks to all who came and to all who participated in making this fund-raising event a success.

Last call for ordering your poinsettias. Kathy is placing the order Friday evening. They will be available for pick-up at the church Dec. 6, between 11 a.m. and noon. This Sunday, we begin the four Sundays of Advent when we anticipate the coming of Christ. Come for the 8 a.m. Holy Eucharist or meet at 10:30 a.m., with nursery care offered, followed by coffee hour, as Sunday school children practise for a Christmas presentation.

On the Advent wreath of evergreens, signifying eternal life, we light the first of the four red candles, to remind God's people of the hope Christ offers.

The Youth group meets this Friday, at 7 p.m. to make cool Christmas crafts.

Dec. 2, come with a Food Hamper item, and watch, and discuss, the controversial An Inconvenient Truth, with popcorn supplied. Use the east door.

Here are the ticket winners from the All Saints' Craft Sale Saturday: Large candle holder — Joanie Francis; glass dish — Claudia Balsdon; vase — Larry Proctor; angel vase — Jim Brunberg; corkscrew kit — Nora McDonald; six wine glasses — Bjorg Rocks; cheese basket — B. Tiffin; footstool — Linda Biss; crocheted cover — Leah Springford; crocheted afghan — Marion Holmes; blue Mennonite quilt — Isabelle Mercure-Cameron. Thank you to donors, to Dawn Ballard for encouraging those who sold tickets, and to all who participated.

Bring community friends to share Christmas joy together at Lessons and Carols Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., with classical guitar, trumpet, brass, choir and organ music.
