GROUND BROKEN FOR NEW CHURCH IN NOBLETON

Even the rain Sunday couldn't dampen the spirits of the faithful who gathered in Nobleton. Bishop Peter Hundt of the Archdiocese of Toronto helped break the ground and bless the site of the new St. Mary Catholic Church, accompanied by Fr. Paul Hancko. Steering Committee Chair Livio Mascarin said contributions to the new church are still coming in, including $10,000 from an anonymous donor. He predicted that by this time next year, there will be four walls and a roof at the site. Even the rain Sunday couldn't dampen the spirits of the faithful who gathered in Nobleton.
