Last week's Tournament of Champions offered serval opportunities to honour the members of the Canadian Show Jumping Team who won the silver medal last month at the Olympics. There was a presentation to the team Sunday before the $100,000 John Deere World Cup Qualifier. Stacey Krembil, a founding sponsor of the Tournament of Champions, presented a team portrait to team member Mac Cone of King City. Five more Blooms, national recognition as King takes second

King Township didn't win in its population class in the Communities in Bloom competition, but there are big grins on a lot of local faces. King was up against five other Canadian communities in its population class in the competition, and placed a close second to White Rock, B.C. More...
