BizPaL Launched in King Starting and running a business in King Township just became easier thanks to BizPaL, a new on-line business permit and licence service that saves time spent on paperwork and helps entrepreneurs start up faster. Secretary of State (Small Business and Tourism) Diane Ablonczy, on behalf of Industry Minister Jim Prentice, together with Charles Sousa, parliamentary assistant to Provincial Government and Consumer Services Minister Ted McMeekin, and Mayor Margaret Black welcomed the launch of BizPaL in the township recently. BizPaL is an innovative project that provides entrepreneurs with simplified access to the information on permits and licences they need to establish and run their businesses. This unique partnership among federal, provincial, territorial, regional and local governments is designed to cut through the paperwork burden and red tape that small business owners encounter. The BizPaL service in King was developed with the support of Industry Canada, in collaboration with the Township and Province. "BizPaL will make it easier for people in the Township of King to get the licences and permits they need to start up and grow their business," said Ablonczy. "The government of Canada is working hard with provincial and municipal governments to provide the best possible service for small business." "Building a strong economy and strong communities across Ontario is a priority for our government," commented Sousa. "BizPaL gives businesses an edge in getting permits and licences easily and quickly so that they can continue to add to Ontario's strong economic growth." "The development and launch of BizPaL is an important initiative that proves King's commitment to nurturing a prosperous, sustainable and diverse local economy," said Black. Area business owners and entrepreneurs can access the service by visiting www.king.ca or www.serviceontario.ca/bizpa l. The Province is looking forward to expanding BizPaL to other areas of Ontario over the next year.
