It was a colourful scene recently at Schomberg Community Hall. Clothes from Sora Fashions were on display at the annual fund-raising fashion show, hosted by the Schomberg United Church Women (UCW). The hosts, the United Church Women, raised $2,123 from the event. More ... The King Township Museum invites ladies and gentlemen of all ages to attend their annual Garden Tea. It promises to be a lovely afternoon of delicious food, tea and dessert in a charming setting. A delightful respite for those attending the Nobleton - King City Horticultural Society's Garden Tour. More ... The fourth annual King City Amazing Race was held recently. The event was organized by members of King City United Church and started at the church and ended at Centennial Park with a barbecue. Over its four years, it has grown into a community event with nearly 90 participants and 18 teams this year. The teams varied from two to six members. During the race, there were 33 clues at 23 stops throughout the town that ranged from psychical, cerebral, educational and fun activities. Participants had to identify six activities that go on at Kingcrafts, then performed weaving, painting or working with clay by making bowls. Team 7 members hurried to perform the weaving activity, as Melissa Edmunds weaved and Mark Weston looked on. More ... |
