Ansnorveldt resident Bob Horlings is seen here with his prize-winning explorer roses, Henry Kelsey variety. His roses were named best in show last weekend at the First All-Canadian Rose Show, held at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. "Roses are my passion," he commented. Horlings and his wife Grace were among those who opened their gardens Sunday for the annual tour, hosted by the Schomberg Horticultural society. Turn to page 9 for more garden scenes. More...

As stated in the above noted article, I tried to delegate a prepared statement to York Region Council recently with regards to the power supply issue facing Northern York Region. More...
For Home and Country is a play that introduces the story of the Women's Institutes to a modern, urbanized Ontario. Our junior rookie team, sponsored by Luxury Coach, travelled to Aurora to face the Wee-Watch team last week. It was evident from the first pitch that the young King team had come to play, as five of the first nine batters made solid contact at the plate, and successfully reached base. More...
