Cober returned as deputy mayor

Councillor Bill Cober has evidently been doing a good job as deputy mayor of King Township, because his colleagues have re-appointed him.

It took little time Monday night for councillors to approve his appointment for another year. He was first appointed deputy mayor a year ago.

The Schomberg resident and father of two is into his second term as councillor for Ward 4.

In accepting the appointment, Cober expressed his appreciation for the confidence his colleagues were showing in him.

The duties of the job include filling in for the mayor in various activities she can't get to, as well as certain responsibilities under the Township's emergency plan.
