Region to hold craft and gift sale

York Region and the local police invite all to the 13th annual United Way craft and gift sale.

It will take place tomorrow (Thursday) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the York Region Administrative Centre, at 17250 Yonge St. in Newmarket.

More than 80 vendors will be present, showcasing unique and festive items for everyone on one's gift list. Don't miss this great way to start or finish holiday shopping. Admission is free.

The Region holds an annual campaign to raise funds for the United Way, and is closing in on its campaign goal of $140,000.

The United Way of York Region is the largest source of non-profit funding in York, helping more than 270,000 people overcome difficulties through the support of over 40 community programs. The various programs provide encouragement, strengthen communities and foster leadership.
