      The proverbial monkey is off the backs of the Schomberg Cougars. The local junior C hockey heroes posted a well-earned 5-4 win Thursday night in overtime against the Midland Flyers, their first of the season.

      The Schomberg peewee rep Red Wings spent much of a recent weekend showing their guests who was boss at the Red and White Tournament the local minor hockey association hosted. The local heroes, sponsored by Biltmore Home Consulting Inc.
