Our doors are wide open to the surrounding community and a warm welcome is extended to all from Rev. Bob Biggar and parishioners at King City United Church.

If you are new to the community, King City United Church is one block south of the King Road and one block east of Keele Street, at 50 Elizabeth Grove. Sunday morning services, including the children, start at 10 a.m.

The children participate in the early part of the morning services, and then go to Sunday school with their teachers, to learn about the Bible in the children's way. It will soon be the story of the baby Jesus, and such a wonderful part of the Bible for the children to learn about their friend Jesus.

Fellowship and refreshments follow the morning services for all.

Next week's reflection is to be Different Kinds of Gardeners, based on Isaiah 24: 1, 3-6. All are invited to gather in the parlour after worship to discuss this further.

The King Township Food Bank is in need of the following items. Nov. 18: Oatmeal; Nov. 25: Side Dishes (Potato, Pasta or Rice); Dec 2: Powdered Milk.

Reminder to anyone taking digital pictures of the church events, please consider sending them to Wayne Smith, jwemith@sympatico, ca, so that he can put them on the Web site.

The choir is currently practising music for Advent and we welcome new members, especially female voices.

Come and celebrate with Rena Gordon on the occasion of her 90th birthday this Saturday (Nov. 17) from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the church. No gifts please, but a donation for the food bank would be appreciated. For more information, call Debbie Howe at (905)-833- 6389.

This year's Men's Dinner is Nov. 23 and 24. If you have never been to our Men's Dinner, you have a missed a wonderful time. All of us women get dressed up and for beginners, we sit down to a beautifully laid table, with candle light. Then the men start out with serving a fresh salad. The next course is roast beef, (all you can eat), and then delicious desert and coffee. After the dinner is finished the men of the church put on a two hour show with lots of music and jokes, etc. There are still tickets available, at a cost of $25. Call Alan Henderson at (905) 833- 5407, John Kell at (905) 833-905, or any member of the chorus.

A blood donor clinic is to be held at the church Nov. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. You can save three lives. That is the beauty of giving blood.
