Winners named in Shop Locally contest
The Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce has been encouraging people to patronize area businesses for the last several weeks, and some of those shoppers learned just how good an idea it was Saturday.
The Chamber drew the winning tickets at the Gazebo in Nobleton.
The grand prize enables the winner to make a total of $1,000 in purchases from participating businesses, and it as won by Schomberg area resident Jill Watt-Hayward.
Karen Lubbers of Schomberg won $250. Her ticket was drawn from all of those who had stickers for all 53 participating businesses.
Kathy McLeod of Schomberg won $100.
Joan Teasdale of Kettleby, Jacquie Boyd of Schomberg, Meryl McKay of Schomberg, Eric Gray of King City, Alex Mackenzie and Jackie Chatter of Schomberg, jim Somerville of Schomberg and Bev Donaldson of Nobleton each won gift certificates from Voyage Jewellery. Mara Wray of Schomberg won jewelry from Jordash Inc., Norma-Jean Stephenson of Kettleby won a gift certificate from Junction Restaurant, Brian Mcleod of Schomberg won a gift basket from The Scottish Nook, Mary Oram of Nobleton won a flower arrangement from the dollar Outlet nd Karen Clark of Kettleby won a memory stick from Yorkregion.com
