York receives triple-A credit rating

York Region has retained its AAA credit rating from Moody's Investors Service.

The Region's debt rating reflects high reserve levels, prudent far-sighted fiscal management and positive operating outcomes. The rating also takes into consideration York's rapid population growth, expanding assessment base and diversified economy.

York has maintained a AAA rating with Moodys' since February 2000.
