One of three bodies found in King identified Post-mortem examinations have revealed the identity of one of three bodies found in a burned van on the 7th Concession late last Sunday. York Regional Police reported yesterday (Tuesday) one of the bodies has been positively identified as Zu Ling He, 47, of Toronto. She is the wife of a 46-year-old man who sustained serious burns in this incident. Post-mortem examinations took place Thursday at the Centre of Forensic Sciences. Due to the condition of the bodies, positive identification of the other two victims is still expected to take some time. Investigators have been advised that the two bodies are those of an adult female and a female child. Positive identification may rely on DNA testing. Police remain unable to locate the man's 22-year-old stepdaughter and four-year-old daughter. He remains in critical condition in hospital. They added the cause of death for all three females has been determined to have been gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing. Police said they responded to a call at about 11:40 p.m. last Sunday at an address in the area of the 7th Concession and the 16th Sideroad, after a 9-1-1 call was made by a resident in the area at the request of a man asking for assistance. When officers arrived, they located the man suffering from burns to his body and a van fully engulfed in flames, which were eventually extinguished by King Township Fire Services. Investigators originally thought the bodies of two people were in the van, but they later revealed that a third body had been found. Detective Angelo De Lorenzi of the homicide bureau called it "a horrific sight."
