SMITHERMAN BOOSTS LOCAL CAMPAIGN

The campaign of Liberal John Gilbank in York - Simcoe received a boost Thursday as Health Minister and Deputy Premier George Smitherman paid a call on his Bradford campaign office. Smitherman was on hand to address education issues, stressing they tie in with the need to have a strong public service. He pointed to the investments the Liberal government has made to education, pointing out not one school day has been lost to strikes since the government took office.
