Kingcrafts seeking new members who enjoy creating 'heirlooms' Open Doors, the annual opportunity to visit historic local buildings, takes place in King City this Saturday (Sept. 22), and All Saints' Anglican Church is on the route. Do drop around to view the 150-year-old chapel, on the south side of the main church, built of timbers felled right on the site. You may also enter from Doctor's Lane, one block east. On Sundays, do come for the early service of Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. in the chapel, or bring your children to the second service at 10:30 a.m. in the church with the refurbished organ, and where concurrent nursery care, and Sunday school for children up to Grade 6, is provided. Exciting Friday monthly youth group activities are open to anyone in Grades 1 to 7 this Friday (Sept. 21), at 6:30 p.m. Bring your friends. The group for Grades 8 to 12 meets next Sept. 28. Drop in for community prayer Wednesday mornings in the choir area (come and go when you wish) from 9 to 9:50 a.m., or phone in your prayer request. At 10 a.m., a one-hour discussion will stimulate fresh perspective, in advance, for the Scripture readings for the following Sunday (Sept. 26, we'll discuss Luke 16:19-31 - the rich man and Lazarus). Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. join us for a tasty bowl of soup, or come directly for the Bible study at 7, taking six weeks on Paul's letter to the Ephesians. Sept. 30, come to church and stay for one of our famous potluck lunches. All church members are encouraged to stay on for the annual Vestry meeting, to hear reports from all the groups in the church. At 7:30 p.m., enjoy the sounds of our newly expanded pipe organ in a very special musical evening led by Director of Music Michael Leach, with Choral Evensong and an organ dedication in memory of Charles and Janet Burns. Oct. 7 anticipates our traditional Harvest Thanksgiving, with guest preaching by the Rev. Gillian Ball, returning soon to ministry in Mexico. Join us as we give thanks to God for all life's blessings.
