Tough matches for Primus

The Primus Canada guys have had their work cut out for them in the last couple of weeks of under-8 boys' action in the King City Youth Soccer Club.

They battled Kasali Hair Studio to a 3-3 draw Aug. 7, then they fell 4-1 to Persego the following week. that was followed by another tie, 2-2 this time, against Ravine Mushroom Farm last Wednesday.

Andrew Oppedisano, Michael DiCarlo and Cody Morgan each collected goals in the Primus cause against Kasali, with Nicholas Payne being named player of the game. Anthony Kasali led the attack for the Hair guys with a pair of goals, gaining player of the game honours in the process, while Evan Sinka scored the other.

The Aug. 14 match saw Jeremy Wong lead the charge for Persego with two markers, while Brandon Barone and J.P. Martin each notched singles. Christopher Romano was player of the game for the victors. At the other end of the field, Payne handled the scoring chore, and DiCarlo was named player of the game.

DiCarlo handled the scoring chores for his side against the Mushroom boys last week, and he ended up sharing player of the game honours with Payne.

The Ravine goals were notched by Blair MacLeod and Ryan Bianco.
