Kettleby Fair is next Saturday The 31st annual Kettleby Fair and Parade is set to take place Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it promises to be the best ever. "We have added some exciting games, contests and surprises to this year's lineup for young, not-so-young, and everyone in between" reported organizer and local resident Gary Vogan. Always a full day of oldfashioned family fun, the fair will include a variety of top-notch stage entertainment, community parade at noon, children's games, the fly-ball dogs, strolling clowns and entertainers, crafters, mouthwatering food and much, much more. Always popular with the kids, again there will be face painting, pony rides and petting zoo, the jumping castles, fly-ball dog show and come by the main stage to see Lofty the Magician and Kobler Jay, two very talented children's entertainers from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Again this year, people can have their family photos taken on a bail of straw by professional photographer Robert Brown, and as always, check out the ever popular Loonie Draw, the Anglican Church bake sale and the heritage tent. Admission is $6 for adults and kids under 12 are $2. This year seniors receive a $2 discount on regular admission. Kettleby Road will be closed to traffic for the day, there is free parking just outside the village at Jane and Keele Streets and buses will provide shuttle service all day long. |
