HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY
     It was a time for celebration at the King City Seniors' Centre as long-time area resident Jean Kirby marked her 90th birthday. She is seen here with her daughter Sandra and son Wayne. She was born Aug. 26, 1917 at Teston. "I figure I'm just lucky," was how she accounted for her longevity.

Lions draw winner
      Schomberg Lions have announced the winner of the first Early Bird draw was Bruce Graham of Schomberg. The draw took place Monday evening. Graham is now richer by $500 and his ticket went back into the drum for the next Early Bird Draw, which is set for Oct. 22.
