      Oak Ridges - Markham MP Lui Temelkovski will be hosting a town hall meeting today (Wednesday) for seniors in King City. It will be at King City Seniors' Centre at 30 Fisher St., and seniors are invited to attend and discuss the issues that matter to them. It will run from 2 until 4 p.m.

      York Region is looking at reopening the stretch of Bathurst Street, north of Green Lane, but area residents are raising concerns. Those concerns were aired recently before King councillors. Councillors have referred the issue to Township staff for a report.

      Is there some way that King Township could cut down on its production of paper? Councillor Cleve Mortelliti wants that investigated, and council is slated to discuss the issue this coming Monday. The matter was presented as a notice of motion at the last council meeting in July.
