MEET THE COBRAS
Steve LaVerde
For a while last season, it appeared that Steven was uncertain as to whether to try out for the rep team or not. Now that the season is coming to an end, both he and the coaches are extremely pleased that the decision was "yes." Not only has he provided the team with its most consistent effort at first base, and batted in the middle of the lineup, but Steve also brings a refreshing, level-headed attitude to each game; a reminder that the boys are playing a game, and that this game should be enjoyed. In addition to first base, Steve also has worked hard as one of the team's relief pitchers, improving his mechanics and strengthening his arm. Look for Steve on the roster of the high school team at King City Secondary School next season.
