Summer redecorating is progressing at All Saints' Anglican Church
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
Submitted by Kathy Patterson

St. Andrew's in King City warmly invites you to worship with us Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

We are open during both July and August. Church-inthe park will take place in August when Rev. Chris Carter returns from vacation. Don't forget your lawn chairs! We are pleased to have Andrew Fulford as our pulpit supply for the next two weeks.

This week's baseball game is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. We're hoping to win again. Come out and cheer.

The King Township Food Bank hasn't gone on vacation. Please leave donations such as tins of hearty meat soups, packets of side dishes, canned stews, chili or meatballs in the narthex.

Call the church office at (905) 833-2325 for further information or if a ride is needed. We'd be happy to hear from you.

All Saints'

Anglican Church

Friends and neighbours are warmly invited to participate in events at All Saints' Anglican Church, a caring, friendly church.

This is the summer of new inspiration, and of equipping the laity for service. This Sunday (July 22) join in a service of Holy Eucharist at 8 or 10 a.m., and stay to chat at 11 a.m. with new friends.

This summer All Saints' is enjoying a redecoration inside and out, all colours chosen by a wonderful designer, to enhance our sense of worship and wellbeing, and freshen us up for our 150th anniversary celebration in November. We really appreciate our painting volunteers, and offer community service hours to any high school volunteers who wish to help out. Call the office for details.

Have you ever considered teaching children, or reaching out to people in your workplace or community more effectively? A special new course on becoming equipped for ministry starts Sept. 13, for five Tuesday nights, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at Wycliffe College, a block from TTC's Museum subway stop.

With the course open to anyone from students to seniors, we can learn together about teamwork and life key resources. The cost $185, with discounts for seniors. See www.wycliffecollege.ca/; or phone Sarah at (416) 946- 3535, ext. 2500, or Claire locally at (905) 833-4957 for details. How about carpooling?

Summer Outreach continues, so remember your penny jars, child support donations, and FaithWorks contributions toward such ministries as the evening kitchen at All Saints' Church Community Centre, Dundas Street, Toronto. Watch for sales of useful items to fill Christmas shoeboxes, especially quality solar flashlights or simple tools for older boys.

All Saints' Anglican Church is at 12935 Keele St. in King City, a few doors south of King Road.

The Eucharist is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. in the Chapel. The office is open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday in the summer.

If you know of a need or would like prayer, please contact the church office, or Rev. Nicola Skinner, at (905) 833-5432, or (EOL). Our new, in-progress Web site can be found at www.allsaintskingcity.com
