Region office parking lot being reconstructed The north parking lot at the York Region Administrative Centre in Newmarket is being reconstructed. Construction began last week and is scheduled to be completed by the Labour Day weekend. While construction is under way, all visitors are asked to access the north parking lot from the entrance at the traffic lights at the intersection of Gladman Avenue and Yonge Street. Should the north and south parking lots become full, alternative parking arrangements have been made with the Town of Newmarket for visitors to park at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex on Eagle Street. There will be a shuttle bus running from the parking lot at the complex to the administrative centre. The shuttle will run back and forth, Monday to Friday, every 15 minutes from 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. and between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., and every half hour between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The Region would like to thank visitors for their patience while these necessary improvements are being made to the facilities. |
