Colourful showcase of gardens was on display Sunday

Seven top local gardens were on display Sunday as the Schomberg Horticultural Society hosted its annual Garden Tour. Jane Binions' Pottageville garden was one of the stops on the tour, with flowering shrubs and evergreens, along with a variety of perennials, roses and lavender. "This is my continual work in progress," was the way Dorothy Hay described her expansive garden, which is characterized by delphiniums, allisums, hostas and more than a few roses. Donna Parrish has a very busy garden, complete with ground covers, hostas, astilbe and coral bells, along with Clematis, which she was discussing here with her neighbour Sheila Kelly.
