A sinfully delicious evening supports Family Transition Place

Chefs from the premiere restaurants and catering companies across the area will be joined by renowned chefs from Toronto and the Golden Horseshoe area for what promises to be a sinfully delicious evening of "sip and savour" July 9.

Considered one of the gourmet events of the season, participating restaurants include many of the premiere dining establishments from Toronto, plus Caledon, Dufferin, York, Durham and Simcoe regions, including such local establishments as Daniels of Nobleton and Hogan's Inn in King City.

Proceeds from the Chef's Challenge will support Family Transition Place, which is working to raise respect and eliminate violence in the community by providing counselling and safe shelter to abused woman and their children and delivering skill-building violence prevention programs to youth and adults.

The lakeside setting of the Royal Ambassador, in Caledon, will host the first ever Chef's Challenge, with each of the selected 24 culinary specialists showcasing their signature dishes. Attendees will determine, through a people's-choice system, the premier chef in each category, plus the Chef's Challenge grand prize.

Wine pairings for each of the chef creations will be orchestrated by Carriage Trade Wine and Spirits expert Hugh Sutherland.

The event will run from 4 until 9 p.m.

Tickets are available for the Chef 's Challenge at $100 per person, including taxes and parking. Call (905) 584-5838 or email caledontickets@sympatico.ca
