Canada Day marked once again in Kettleby

The Kettleby Village Association (KVA) once again hosted Canada Day observances at Tyrwhitt Park Sunday evening. Councillors Jane Underhill and Jeff Laidlaw cut Canada's birthday cake.
A loonie auction was one of the new features in this year's celebration, aimed at defraying the costs. KVA board member Gary Vogan handled the duties, assisted by Fr. Suren Nathan.
There were numerous games for families to take part in. Lucy Mulder, 2, from Kettleby was getting a lesson in croquet from her mother Tonja
The festivities in Kettleby concluded with a fireworks display. This year, volunteer firefighters from Nobleton were on hand to set them off. Steve Kiss, Rudy Cirelli and Lisa Sinopoli were busy getting things ready.
