Kingfest Music Festival provided weekend of entertainment
     It was a weekend to delight and entertain with great music and other happenings. Kingfest 2007 featured virtually non-stop activity at the King Campus of Seneca College. DALA, consisting of Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther of Toronto, put on several charming performances throughout the festival.

Food bank will operate Saturday
      The King Township Food Bank will be open for business this Saturday (June 30) from 9 until 11 a.m. Depots will be running out of St. Mary Magdalene's Anglican Church in Schomberg, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Nobleton and All Saints' Anglican Church in King City.

ART SHOW AT MUSEUM
     Oak Ridges artist Sergey Malina was displaying the creations, in various media, of about 40 of his students at the King Township Museum in King City last Saturday. He is seen here with some of the large crowd of people who were out to see the works.

Region issues outdoor water ban, but not for King, at least yet
      It's that time of year, when residents are asked to watch their outdoor water consumption. York Region Monday issued a Stage 2 mandatory outdoor water use ban for several areas surrounding King Township, including Aurora, Newmarket, Oak Ridges and Maple, but not for King itself.
